Bridget Hunnicutt is a creative and strategic media executive with a successful track record commissioning, developing and producing innovative and powerful nonfiction content. She is the founder and creative director of Hunni Media which produces content for HBO, VICE, HGTV, DIY, Animal Planet, National Geographic Channel and more.
Prior to founding Hunni Media, Hunnicutt served as senior vice president for development and production for National Geographic Channels, where she was responsible for developing 500+ hours of original programming per year. Under her leadership, NGC received 14 Emmy nominations in 2011 alone and another 43 nominations from 2008 through 2010 — the most award nominations of any ad-supported cable network. Hunnicutt created and oversaw franchises and series such as Wicked Tuna, The Dog Whisperer, Alaska State Troopers, Brain Games, Locked Up Abroad, Drugs, Inc., Doomsday Preppers, Amish: Out of Order, and acclaimed specials including Space Dive, Witness: Katrina, In the Womb, Inside 911, and Caught on Safari: Battle at Kruger.
